WELDER/FITTER
Filtervac International is a world-wide leading manufacturer of Oil Purification/Regeneration Systems and other liquid filtration systems and Gas Flares.
The application will be responsible to fit and weld and finish specific components/assemblies, skids, vessels and all interconnecting piping to specifications based on detailed schematics or blueprints provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Able to weld with MIG, TIG and Stick to required specifications. (Carbon and Stainless Steel). Must be ticketed or have the confidence that they can pass a weld test within short order.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret welding blueprints
- Knowledge of welding process and set-up.
- Experienced in fitting and welding piping (from 1” to 4”) on a system.
- Perform welding, grinding duties as required.
- Experience with installing tubing or pneumatics is an asset.
- Work independently or as a team member.
- Work in a safe manner by following all Occupational Health & Safety Regulations, Company Policies and Procedures.
- Perform other duties as defined and assigned by department supervisor, or lead hand.
- Initiate and continually strive for maximum production efficiency and attention to detail.
- Upon completion of assigned work ensure adequate clean up and inspection of all weldments and fabricated parts as required.
Key Qualification/Requirements
- 3-5 years fitter/welder experience
- Proficient blueprint reading skill
- Highly proficient fitting skills including prepping and materials to meet blueprint specifications
Highly proficient welding skill in Mig (Hard Wire, Flux Core) Stick and tig, an asset
