ECOIL STATIONARY TRANSFORMER OIL REGENERATION ( MODEL ECOIL SRS)
The ECoil Stationary Transformer Oil Regeneration System (Model SRS) has been specifically designed to regenerate insulating mineral oil on a tank to tank basis. Although conventional Oil Purification Systems are able degas and dehydrate oil, other systems do not have the capabilities to cost effectively remove contaminants such as acids, sludge and other decaying products. The ECoil Stationary Transformer Oil Regeneration system has been developed to cost effectively remove contaminants such as sludge and other decaying product as well as improving colour and oxidation stability.
The performance of the ECoil System is accomplished using a special blend of Fuller’s Earth Filtration. The unique feature that distinguishes the ECoil Transformer Oil Regeneration System (Model SRS) from other stationary oil processing plants is the ability to reactivate the used Fullers Earth. The Transformer Oil Regeneration reactivation process is fully automated and enables the system to process oil again and again using the same clay. Clay does not need to be removed from the Transformer Oil Regeneration System for a period of up to two years, or up to 300 regeneration cycles. When finally removed as dry neutral sand, it can be disposed of as non-hazardous substance and be used for building materials. Simply put, treated oil will exceed the quality requirements for new oil and the operating costs of the Transformer Oil Regeneration System are low enough that it provides incentive for a Utility to regenerate their used oil.
For customers looking for a complete oil purification and regeneration system, Transformer Oil Regeneration Systems are offered which combine oil purification (Noted as Option P; refer to Options) such as degassing, drying and particulate removal as well as the Regeneration Process.
During the normal course of operation, after having circulated a nominal quantity of oil, the clay beds become saturated and their efficiency drops off to the point that requires reactivation of the clay. With the simple push of a button, the reactivation of the clay is carried out within the clay columns. The reactivation process is fully automated and enables the system to process oil again and again using the same clay. Since the clay can be re-used, FilterVac is able to offer a high grade of Fuller’s Earth Clay that allows for the oil to be regenerated to a specification that cannot be consistently matched by any Conventional Fuller’s Earth System. In addition, it has been recognized that after the initial reactivation of the clay, the clay’s adsorptive capacity is enhanced and provides better results than virgin Fuller’s Earth. In essence, the ECoil System avoids all complications, costs and performance issues associated with typical oil processing units.
In order to ensure a high degree of control and reliability, the Transformer Oil Regeneration System is controlled by a programmable logic controller and monitored/interfaced by a computerized supervisory system which monitors and records all vital operating parameters.
Standard Stationary Systems (Model SRS) are designed for use in an interior/enclosed location such as a transformer shop or warehouse. For systems that are required to be installed in an outdoor installation, Filtervac provides several weatherproofing options:
Installation of the SRS System in a 20 or 40ft Sea Freight,
Container (Noted as Option 20 or 40):
The Sea Freight Containers are customized to house the Ecoil System and include such features as two (2) side doors, partitioned and furnished control room, windows, vents and optional cold/hot weatherproofing.
Installation in Aluminum Enclosure (Noted as Option AE):
The Ecoil System is enclosed by aluminum paneling and provides for a very compact and light weight installation.
